My small business St. Louis Fantasy Maps celebrated nerdy mashups, connected social justice with sci-fi, and created hilarious, collaborative games for people to gather around.
Along with my Escape Rooms, I designed two city-wide adventures, The Great St. Louis Treasure Hunt and The St. Louis Potion Quest, created one-of-a-kind group experiences for birthday parties, date nights, and friend adventures.

I designed these hunts with both whimsy and inclusion in mind, using roles like scribe, way finder, and archivist to create different “jobs” for different abilities and interests. (This avoided the “escape room trap” where teams actually leave more irritated with each other!)
Kits were completely analog, which created a mostly screen-free experience. They incorporated vintage paper, artfully-created clues, and actual potion ingredients, which provided a strong sense of immersion and wonder.

Closing the Shop
In late 2023, I wound down the shop, holding a massive closing sale and donating 100% of proceeds to St. Louis Queer Support & Healing. A great way to end an era!
